Day Type Equivalence Values

Day type equivalence values Adjusts accrual balances according to the day type of absences: one absence day equals n accrual days. adjust accrual values by day type.

  1. From the Main Menu, select Administration > Application Setup > Employee Self Service > Day Type Equivalence Values
  2. Do one of the following: 

    Best Practice: Because edits can affect pending requests, create new day type equivalent values rather than edit current values.

    • Click Tap New. Enter a Name.
    • Select one set of day type equivalence values. Click Tap Edit or Duplicate.
    • Note: Because edits can affect pending requests, create new day type equivalent values rather than edit current values.

    • Select sets of equivalence values. Click Tap Activate or Inactivate.
    • Select sets of equivalence values. Click Tap DeleteClick Tap Yes to confirm.
  3. (Optional) Enter a Description
  4. Select a Day Type Rule Set Groups day type rules that have the same impact on accruals.. Only active rule sets are available.
  5. Enter the Rank to process multiple day type rule Identifies the type of day so that the system filters days and processes accruals correctly. sets.
    • Range = 1-999
    • Must be whole numbers, not decimal values
    • Processed in order from lower to higher values
    • Do not repeat rank values. Example: Multiple rule sets cannot have the same rank of 2.
    • Ranks do not have to be consecutive. Example: 13 > 34 > 55 is processed as 1 > 2 > 3.
  6. To configure another equivalency value, click Insert a New Row. Select the options.
  7. Click Save & Return.
