Export Setup Data (Tenant to File)

To export data from the Target environment:

  1. From the Source box, click the down arrow and select a source tenant.
  2. In the Target box, click the down arrow and select Create a File
  3. In the setup items list, select the items you want to export.
  4. Optionally, expand Business Structure Represents the logical structure of an organization as it concerns staffing. It contains the locations and jobs to which an employee may be assigned. Setup and select Locations.
    1. From the Select Locations pop-up window, select the locations you want to use and click Apply.

  5. ClickTap Review and Publish. The Publish Summary panel slides out from the right.
  6. Review the Publish Summary panel. It lists the items that will be published to the file you are creating. If you approve clicktap Publish with Comment or just Publish.
  7. ClickTap Go to Publish History at the bottom of the panel to view the status of the data transfer. A table shows the source tenant and the target that contains the dowloaded data, the success count and errors. If there were errors during the transfer, the button under the Errors column for that row is black.
  8. To view details and download the data files, clicktap the appropriate row and clicktap View Selected to go to theHistory for publish runwindow.

View the details of the published data

On the History for publish run page, you can view and download detailed information about the published data:

  1. Click Tap Download File next to Target to download the .zip file that contains the data in .json formatted files.
    1. A dialog box opens and prompts you to open or save the zip file. Select an option and clicktap OK.
  2. Click Tap Download File next to Publish Logs to download a .csv file that contains the status of the import for each setup item.

  3. Click Tap show all next to Items Published to view the success count and errors listed in the table by item type and name.
  4. If you select a row with errors to view details, an Errors label is displayed below Items Published with the number of errors. The subsequent table shows the specific errors. If the errors are too long to view in the table, or you want to review or share them, you can download the .csv file.
  5. ClickTap hide all to close the table.
