Grant and Revoke Access

Each device that has been configured can have access to UDM Universal Device Manager manages the configuration of terminals and communication with the system. granted or revoked. Upon the first connection of a device, it will default to a state of revoked access. The additional security step of manually granting access is required to communicate with UDM.

A clock must report a valid serial number before it can be granted access to UDM. If an invalid serial number or no serial number is reported, the clock will not be able be granted access to UDM. In this scenario, call your UKG Representative.

Note: Granting and revoking of access does not apply to 4500 devices or SI configured devices.

To grant or revoke a devices access to UDM:

  1. Navigate to the Device Dashboard.

  2. With the desired devices selected, from the Actions menu:

    1. Select Grant Device Access to provide access to UDM.

    2. Select Revoke Device Access to prevent access to UDM.

  3. A confirmation window appears.

    1. Click Ok to confirm.

    2. Click Cancel to return to the Devices page with no changes.

Note: Use Grant Access to view all devices that are currently in a revoked access state.
